Inspiration for Becoming a Personal Trainer: 

After my third child I gained 60 lbs. I worked hard with a trainer to lose that weight and the experience gave me a new outlook on life. A healthy and fit lifestyle made me happy. I want to help other people come to that same realization. I love meeting new people and enjoy helping them change their lives by reaching their goals. As a mother of 3 young boys, I also believe in instilling healthy habits into children so that can carry that into adulthood.

Interests and Hobbies: 

I am passionate about music, dancing, and cooking. I enjoy going to the beach, outside fire pits, and gathering with friends and family with some food and wine. Most importantly, is spending time with my husband and 3 boys.

Why I’m in Fitness:

Athletics and fitness have always been a part of my life from a young age. Having a father who was a doctor of sports medicine also fueled this interest. Having started first as a ski instructor I found it gratifying to help clients reach a higher level of skiing and confidence in general. This translated easily to the gym floor. Now I help my clients to reach goals we have set through effective training methods and motivation. I’ve worked with many different clientele, from everyday folks looking to drop a few pounds and tone muscles to amateur and professional athletes looking to improve their game. Several years ago I had a left knee replacement surgery and consider myself a specialist in post op. Recovery.

Activities and Interest:

Skiing, surfing, hiking, golf, motocross, walking my dog - bodey will always be my favorite. I am an animal rights advocate. I’m a member of the ASPCA. The finest teams in professional sports are the NY Yankees, NY Giants, NY Rangers, and NY Knicks.

Matt grew up having a love for sports. He played baseball at Indian Hills high school and played Collegiate Ruby at Johnson and Wales University. While in college Matt’s passion for sports turned quickly into fitness.

Philosophy:

Too many people’s biggest mistake when trying to achieve their fitness goal is thinking short term instead of long term. Results do not happen overnight, it is a process. Your first goal should be to find a workout and nutritional program that is sustainable and not difficult to stick to you. It is all about working smarter than harder.
